Children’s Mental Health Week 2025 highlighted the importance of supporting the wellbeing of young people. This year’s theme, was ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’ and encouraged children to embrace self-awareness as a foundation for personal growth and resilience.
The Health Lottery Foundation is committed to addressing health inequalities among young people across Britain. We recognise the challenges, such as long waiting lists for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and the impact of childhood poverty on physical and mental health. The Foundation aims to support initiatives that promote health and wellbeing in children and young people.
The Health Lottery Foundation is preparing to open applications later in 2025 for voluntary organisations working with young people. Eligible projects could include youth centres offering activities, mentoring, or counselling; specialised support for children and young people with disabilities; safe spaces providing someone to talk to and projects that encourage engagement with nature to promote wellbeing.
We know that countless projects across England, Scotland and Wales are filling gaps and providing vital services to young people. We look forward to hearing about your work.
For organisations interested in applying for funding you can check your project’s eligibility and join our mailing list for updates on when the grant window opens.
